The eight-month-old girl of a home ministry employee, who was abducted during a robbery at her house in Dhaka’s Lalbagh yesterday, has been rescued.
A team of RAB rescued the baby, Zaifa, during a raid in Mohammadpur area early today and detained one of the abductors, said an official of RAB’s Legal and Media wing.
RAB will hold a press briefing later in the day.
Her relatives said four people, including a woman, had kidnapped Zaifa and looted the cash and gold ornaments after tying up her mother Farzana Akhter, 33, inside home.
She and her daughter were home alone during the incident.
